Hello !

Today it starts…im in delhi sitting at the park hotel and its 5 in the evening. we ve had a long day of orientation..what to do what to say what not to …intercultural information and how to go about teaching,practical information for day to day and the formalities. But its been great…the breakfast buffet was superb ! all you can think of…from cereal to fruits and bread and south indian and chinese and live omelette and dosa counters all sorts of fruit juices and coffee and tea in all temperatures…and lunch buffet even better !! cheese grills…veg grills…rice…and dishes I cant pronounce…and some 10 varieties of salads…and 3 varieties of desserts..including chocolate cake…

I could not stop thinking of chotu !! he would love it..:) and the waiters are all over..i just eat a dish and they wanna come give u a fresh plate…drop a spoon one will come from somewhere and give u a new one. Magic..:) and its awesome.appa had come during lunch to check on things.

The orientation has been fully in French and that too by natives. And I could understand very well. It was fun. Everyone speaks such good french..i have a lot to catch up on.

Everyone is in a room weighing and adjusting and whining. Its madness. Im peaceful having decided to pay. I think im the only one with 3 bags…very nervous ..how will I manage…my nightmare is tht one bag is still outside and the metro doors close…but ill manage somehow. I have to.

Today suja ddma and appa and possibly the dubey family will come to see me off at the airport. It ll be nice J
