Hello !!

Today has been lovely as ever….we went island hopping…after a nice breakfast at the hostel…today was much colder than yesterday…

Got a 12 hour pass to catch any vaporetti( or the water busses here- public transport system- by the way..its been 2 days since I saw a car or infact a bike. There are none here. They walk or they go on boats) First stop Murrano island…took a 20 mins to get there…which is known for its glass blowing ..so we attended a demonstration…quite interesting actually…in seconds he transformed the molten glass into a gondola ! and then we went into the city which is really just canals and pretty bridges and shops everywhere selling the most amazing glass objects… chandeliers and pens and plates and jewellery…all glass…

We then got an early lunch…pizza of course…don’t find anything else here…literally…and a huge apple ! J and ate by the canal side ( of course ) hands froze by then…were red…but still dint have the heart to eat inside…

Roamed around the island some more…attended another glass blowing demo and then figured out the vaporetti timing to get to our next stop…burano island…ran from one dock to another to check we weren’t missing any of the boats….because the next would be 20 mins later…sat by the light house and waited..

The ride to burrano took a half hour…this is a cute little island where each house is painted a different colour !! it is incredible….the most hedious colours put together look most pretty here….

Of course because we were so cold we first entered a café and had a nice hot chocolate…( by now we were so accustomed to the REAL hot chocolate we were actually disappointed when they gave us bournvita ) then went exploring the island…. Nothing much to see…just cute shops and colours…

By now it was 4.30 and we headed back to the docks cuz the next boat was at 4.56…a 45 min ride back to mainland….caught the boat …nodded off for a while…filled up the postcards id purchased…and then we were back in venice…J

It was fully dark…and it was freezing…we were cold and really needed to use the loo…so quickly walked back t the hostel….had a great pasta dinner….some tea…now sleep….:)

Tomoro I think its going to be museum hopping….

And then a night train to Florence !
